Workshop

Date/Time: There will be three sessions.  The workshop will take place between 9am and 5pm in each day.

  • Biology (specifically evolution and population biology): July 8 & 9, 2013
  • Chemistry (specifically particulate nature of matter): July 10, 2013
  • Physics (specifically electricity): July 11, 2013

Location: All sessions will take place in the Anenberg Hall, Room 303, at the Northwestern campus. You can see the location of Annenberg Hall in the interactive Northwestern campus map here or at Google maps here. The full address is : Annenberg Hall Room 303, 2120 Campus Drive Evanston, IL 60208 .

Food & Snacks: Each day we will have snacks and drinks in the morning and afternoon and a full lunch (including wraps/sandwiches -with vegetarian options, salad, cookies and fruits).

Parking: If you are driving to the Northwestern campus we will provide you with daily visitor parking passes for each day. We will meet you in the parking lot near Annenberg Hall (where the workshop will take place) on Monday (July 23) at 8:30am for the Life Sciences session and on Wednesday (July 25) at 8:30am for the Physical Sciences session and give you parking passes for the duration you will attend (2 days or 4 days). Here is a link to the map showing the parking lot we will meet with you at 8:30am on Monday (and 8:30am on Wednesday for Physical Sciences participants).

Wireless access: Once you are in the campus, you can use the Guest-Northwestern wireless network to go online. Here are the directions:

1.  Choose the Guest-Northwestern from the list of available networks on your laptop, tablet, or smartphone.
2.  Read and accept the University’s acceptable use policy.
3.  Select Start to register your device.
4.  Enter your contact information and sponsoring individual/campus organization (“Center for Connected Learning and Computer Based Modeling”)
